We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Property Manager at Somerset Park, a 108-unit apartment community located in Leesburg, VA.  The Assistant Property Manager is the “right hand” of the Property Manager, focusing on resident customer service and assisting with managing the day-to-day operations of the property.  The Assistant Property Manager is also a sales leader, taking the lead in engaging prospective residents, showing them why they should select Home Properties as their home. 

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will:
·         Support the Property Manager in effectively managing the property
·         Handle record keeping, reporting, rental revenue, delinquencies, late notices, evictions, resident relations.
·         Process apartment applications and lease renewals by accurately completing all related paper work.
·         Create resident files, including all related paperwork and documentation
·         Assist the maintenance department by ensuring apartment turnovers, moves-in, move-outs, and work order requests are completed on schedule and to company standards.


REQUIREMENTS:
  • Previous property management experience, including bookkeeping, leasing, and customer service experience.
  • Strong knowledge of property management law and resident relations.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills, and be detail oriented.
  • Must be able to quickly develop rapport with prospective residents.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work well in a team setting
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. 
  • Previous knowledge of MRI property management software is preferred.

Participates in multi-disciplinary care teams and committees. Collects data; plans and prepares reports for performance improvement and or quality assurance audits. Makes recommendations for cost quality strategies, works within budget. Serves as expert clinical resource to staff and departments in defining and meeting educational, clinical, quality and cost outcomes and performance measures. Participates in establishing department policies and protocols that support regulatory standards JOINT commission, NCQA, MediCal. This position is a SCNSC bargaining unit represented position. Basic Qualifications: Previous teaching experience required or previous recent experience in education in clinical service area, usually two 2 to five 5 years. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience usually 4 years required. Current California RN license required. Adult learning and behavior change knowledge required. Demonstrated ability to utilize interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and group facilitator process skills. Computer literacy required. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree preferred. CPR instructor preferred. Previous experience in Infertility IVF Notes: This is a Full-time, variable position. Days and hours will vary.

As a Maintenance Technician, you aren’t just fixing a leaky faucet or replacing a hot water tank.  It’s your customer service skills and attention to detail that ensures the resident’s satisfaction and the feeling of being at Home.  We currently have an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician at Mount Vernon Square, a 1387-unit apartment community located in Alexandria, VA.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will:
  • Effectively handle resident service requests and work orders, correcting the situation within 24 hours when possible
  • Assess and repair issues including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC
  • Ensure all make-ready repairs and services are completed correctly and on schedule
  • Maintain accurate records regarding preventative maintenance, service requests, apartment make-ready status, work-in-progress, etc.
  • Respond to on-call emergencies
  • Stay current on all applicable building codes and safety standards

REQUIREMENTS:
  • At least 2 years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably in residential property management
  • CFC Universal certification is required, along with experience repairing heat pump HVAC systems and air handlers
  • Must be able to perform electrical repairs, as well as carpentry and locksmithing, painting, dry-wall repair, and snow removal
  • Must be available to handle on-call emergency services on an as-needed basis
  • Must have personal, reliable transportation to get to work in order to respond to on-call emergencies

Job Responsibilities and Requirements: Takes reservations via telephone, fax, mail, central reservations or change forms to provide excellent customer service both to the internal and external customer Completes all changes and cancellations for group. Is familiar with complete cycle of a reservation from the moment the telephone rings to when the guest checks out. Completes daily shift checklists. Assists the front desk when needed. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Must have strong verbal and skills in order to communicate effectively in English. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, etc. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
